Chapter Twelve
Ravi
I was warm. And safe. So fucking safe. In Maddoxâs arms, the world couldnât touch me. All the awful stuff would be kept at bay as long as he held me. Protected me. Somehow, in sleep, heâd eased me off him and had turned me on my side facing away from him. His warm body pressed tightly to me and I felt almost over-warm, but I didnât even consider pulling away. No, Iâd rather combust in flames than move. He firmly clasped my hip, so he wasnât letting me go anytime soon either.
The smell of sex permeated the room, and it soothed. I loved simultaneous orgasms. Not always possible, but this morning had been a glorious example of what happened when two people were completely in sync. Lilith and I had found that place quite a few times in our years together. Weâd been well-suited. And Iâd never felt deprived of male sexual companionship. She was all I wanted, and weâd had a good run.
Until everything had gone to shit.
Nope. Not going to go there.
Although it wasnât sacrilege to remember my time with her, it also wasnât fair to my new partner.
Partner? Lover?
But for how long? Twelve hours? Twenty-four? How soon would the airline call and disturb this peace? I said a thank you to the universe. I felt guilty a manâs mother was dying just before Christmas, and I offered a prayer that he made it home in time, but his distress granted me another few hours with this amazing man. I felt blessed. I felt lucky. I felt like Iâd hit the jackpot.
I also felt sticky and icky. I loved messy sex, but weâd gone a little overboard. Nope, definitely in need of showers. And I was downright famished. I tried to extricate myself, but Maddox tugged me closer and placed a kiss on my shoulder. Then he sniffed my hair.
Huh?
âGod, I love how you smell. Your hair, your skin, your cum...I love it all.â
Perhaps one of the most romantic things ever said to me. I drew my finger lazily along his strong forearm that still gripped me. âBack at you, big boy.â I squinted. âAnd I think daylight is coming upon us. I need sustenance if weâre going to go another round.â
A growl. Of approval? Of agreement.
He moved his arm away, and I again tried to extricate myself and, ew, our skin kind of clung. He grunted, I huffed, and we managed to untangle. âI plan to try out that amazing shower of yours. I believe thereâs room for two.â
Another groan. âI do not have that kind of stamina.â
I snickered. âOld man.â I snuck a look at my very deflatedâmy very batteredâcock. Nope, youngâun or not, I wasnât getting it up again any time soon. Thatâd been one of the best orgasms of my life. Was it cheesy to say it? Yeah. Was it true? Hell yeah.
After flicking on the bedside lamp, I surveyed the room. Weâd tangled the sheets, and however I enjoyed that aroma, I saw laundry on todayâs agenda.
